He also specializes in equity and debt financing for entrepreneurs, borrowers, and lenders. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Byrne served as principal of Byrne, Moore & Davis, PC, from 1999 to 2002 and Byrne, Eldridge, Moore & Davis, PC, from 1994 to 1999. He commenced his career as an associate and partner of Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers from 1978 to 1984.

Alongside his vocational endeavors, Mr. Byrne has participated in a number of civic engagements as an elder for the Session First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta from 1993 to 1996 and again from 1999 to 2002. He has maintained affiliation with such organizations as the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Order of the Grail, and the Order of the Old Well in association with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his college years, he was elected a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, Phi Beta Sigma, and Delta Phi Alpha.

Pursuing the legal industry due to his profound intrigue in the profession and interest in helping others, Mr. Byrne obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and mathematics, with highest honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from Harvard University in 1978. After practicing law for many years, he returned to his education and earned a Master of Arts from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2018.

Mr. Byrne has been admitted to practice in the state of Georgia, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field of law, he has maintained an AV Rating through Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, he has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, and Who’s Who in the World. He has also been named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who’s Who in 2017.
