Michelle E. Vocht has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in law.
An elected fellow of the State Bar Association of Michigan and award-winning attorney, Ms. Vocht entered the field of law more than 35 years ago with the goal to make a real difference in the lives of her clients. Her devotion to representing individuals in small businesses has led her to success and enabled her to establish an unwavering reputation of excellence in the Birmingham, MI, region. Since 1981, she has excelled as the vice president, treasurer and CFO of her private practice Roy, Shechter & Vocht. Along the way, Ms. Vocht has served as a pro bono teaching faculty member for the Detroit chapter of the Federal Bar Association, as well as mediator for the Mediation Tribunal Wayne County Circuit Court.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Ms. Vocht has taken on career-related projects. With the State Bar Association of Michigan, she served as secretary, panelist of its discipline board, member of its state court administration commission and master of its lawyer’s section. She also served as a member of the board of directors, secretary, vice president and president of the Oakland Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Vocht’s memberships with other industry organizations allowed her to solidify her commitment to her professional development in her field. She is a member of the American Constitutions Society, the Michigan Employment Law Association and the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
Ms. Vocht’s career is supported by her education and certifications. She holds a JD from Wayne State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Michigan. She is permitted to practice law in the state of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the eastern and western district of Michigan, the sixth circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Federal Multi-District Litigation Court and the federal court for the northern district of Ohio. As she looks to the future, Ms. Vocht has no intention of slowing down in her career. In fact, she has no plans to ever retire as she feels that her work in the field of law is what she was put on earth to do.
