Roy Krall, Attorney at Cavitch Familo & Durkin, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in estate planning law.
Mr. Krall attended the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Arts in math and economics in 1985, and started as an actuary at Buck Consultants in New York City. After a year of actuarial work, he realized that he was far more interested in logic and reasoning than crunching numbers, and decided to attend law school. In 1989, Mr. Krall graduated with a JD from Case Western Reserve University and was admitted to practice law by the Ohio State Bar and the Supreme Court of Ohio. He found that estate planning struck a balance between analytical skills and social skills, and he has excelled as an attorney ever since. From 1989 to 1994, Mr. Krall served as an attorney at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Haiman, and accepted a position at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs. In 1993, he was additionally admitted to practice law by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
After nine years at Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, Mr. Krall started at Kaufmann & Kaufmann, and from 2006 to 2011, he leveraged his experience as an attorney at Weston Hurd. Since his departure, he has served as an attorney at Cavitch Familo Durkin in Ohio. In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Krall shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Akron School of Law from 1997 to 1999. He maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations, including serving as a member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s estate planning, trust and probate section since 2000, and acting as the section’s chair from 2015 to 2017. Since 2015, he has worked as an editor for the Probate Law Journal of Ohio. Mr. Krall advises aspiring legal professionals that the law is primarily a service field—the goal is to provide professional services quickly and fairly. As a testament to his success and experience, he has been selected for inclusion in the 10th edition of Who’s Who in American Law.
